Taylor Wessing has confirmed its newly-qualified (NQ) solicitors will now earn £77,000, a £6,000 uplift from the previous £71,000 offering. The tech-focused firm also announced that this figure could rise to £92,400 when taking into account bonuses.

Also this week, City outfit Simmons & Simmons revealed that new lawyers will receive a salary of £79,000 up 5% from the previous base rate of £75,000.

Trainees in Simmons' Bristol office will also benefit, with their pay increasing to £52,000.

On Friday 12 July, Ashurst announced a 9% pay rise offering junior lawyers £105,000 including bonuses. Travers Smith and Macfarlanes also increased their NQ salaries to £85,000.
