Forbes Solicitors has nine offices across the North West and regularly represents defendants in insurance litigation proceedings. The firm also routinely handles property transactions and employment matters, and manages private client portfolios.
Four trainee places are available for 2018, and the firm receives over 200 applications per annum. The Forbes training contract is structured into four six-month seats, with client secondments available.

The ‘client focus’ at Forbes impresses its trainees, and some of the firm’s prominent clients include Calico Homes, Together Group and Yorkshire Bank. In the words of one trainee: ‘the client contact and feedback really helps to reinforce that you are making a positive contribution’.

Forbes has won in three categories in this year’s Lex 100 survey: client contact, work/life balance and confidence in being kept on. Respondents to the survey were quick to praise the ‘supportive working environment’ at a firm with a ‘good reputation for training solicitors properly’.

If the firm were a fictional character it would be… Daphne Moon (Frasier) – Northern, friendly and a well-established character.
