Two London Reed Smith trainees included in firm’s latest round of partner promotions

Reed Smith has promoted 24 of its lawyers to the worldwide partnership. Six of this cohort are based in London, with two having started at the firm as trainees.

Tom Webley qualified at Reed Smith in 2005, and is now a partner in the Banking and Financial Services Litigation and Regulatory Groups. He has represented banks on insurance-related cases, and advises individuals on FCA and SFO investigations related to alleged LIBOR and FX manipulation.

William Sutton qualified at the firm in 2006, and is now a partner working in the Pensions team. His practice is a broad one, encompassing matters including tax regime compliance and liability management. He has developed a particular specialism advising on public sector outsourcing projects.

The four other newly-named London partners are Kate Brimsted, Andrew Clark, Monica Dupont-Barton and Angelina Soon.

Commenting on the partnership round, Reed Smith’s global managing partner Sandy Thomas says: ‘The members of Reed Smith’s 2016 partner class are talented, hard-working attorneys who represent the international strength and growth of our firm. These individuals exemplify excellence in practice and commitment to client service. We are pleased to recognise and honour their contributions to the firm by welcoming them into the partnership.’
